FAQ for non-Tokyo Tech Students

Q1. Ifm from XX department / Ifm from YY country. Am I eligible to apply for Tokyo Tech-AYSEAS?

A1. Tokyo Tech does not place any restrictions on applicantsf departments or nationalities as long as you are a registered student of one of our member universities. However, as we leave participant selection decisions to our member universities, we recommend that you ask the person in charge of the program at your home university.

Q2. I have participated in Tokyo Tech-AYSEAS before. Can I apply for the program again?

A2. Since we leave the participant selection decisions to our member universities, please ask the person in charge of the program at your home university.

Q3. Does Tokyo Tech provide students with any financial support?

A3. Tokyo Tech does not provide students of our partner universities with any scholarship or financial support. Please contact your home university for information regarding financial support for participation in Tokyo Tech-AYSEAS. Tokyo Tech will arrange a bus for transfers from and to the airport and will provide group transportation during the program. Transportation is only available for students who adhere to the designated program schedule and is not available for students who need to extend or shorten their travel schedules for personal reasons.

Q4. Do all students have to stay at the same hotel? Can I stay at different place, such as a relativefs or friendfs home?

A4. In principle, all participating students are expected to stay at the same hotel to conduct the program smoothly and encourage better communication among participants. However, if you have a compelling reason to stay elsewhere, please contact the Tokyo Tech-AYSEAS Administration Office as soon as possible.
